Make Your Own Dress Workshop $125
Learn to sew your own dress in this special two day workshop with Sonya Phillip of 100 Act of Sewing! Students will learn to make a classic sleeveless dress that is extremely wearable with a flattering A-line silhouette. The neck and armholes are finished with a simple bias tape facing, and pockets add both flair and utility. The first day, students will select their size, trace pattern pieces, and make a muslin. On the second day students will learn how to cut pattern pieces, finish seams, make bias tape, and top stitch patch pockets. The pattern, available in seven sizes, will be provided to take home. Basic sewing experience required. Requires 2 1/2 yds muslin, 2 1/2 yds fabric and one cordinating fat quarter.
